In the XVI century • Thanks to translucids enamels , Limoges got a very special position in Europe. • Among the enamels dynasties , the Pénicaud, the Noailher, the Courteys, the Laudin, we have to mention Léonard Limosin, the most famous Limoges artist. In the XX century in Paris • The workshops of famous jewelers and silverworkers (Boucheron, Cartier, Goulden, Lalique) jugle with the differents techniques. • In Limoges, the work of enamel was rediscovered by Fauré workshop, Léon Jouhaud, Alexandre and Henriette Marty, Charles Peltant, Jules and Robert Sarlandi. |
